Energy storage and energy harvesting has had a lot of interest in the last few years, governments all over the world are investing money into this new technology as a means of addressing the energy crisis.
This new article on energy storage describes the advances made by Vanderbilt University in developing a supercapacitor that is significantly more efficient than it's predecessor. The technology could open doors into applications related to health, entertainment, travel and social communication, meaning that they will not be limited by plugs and external power sources.
